One day, Raphaël discovers boxes filled with letters, Super 8 films, and family recordings in his father's attic. He learns that his father, born in Egypt in 1947, was taken from his mother at the age of six and spent years in exile in Italy, Israel, and Kenya before arriving in Switzerland in 1959. Using these fragments and conversations with Mussa, his father, Raphaël conducts an intimate, funny, and painful investigation. He attempts to reconstruct the story of an elusive father and examine the scars of an exile marked by emotional upheaval and the geopolitical conflicts of the 1950s. A face-to-face encounter between a father and his son in search of his origins.
